Today was our busiest day yet! We saw 21 people with 11 people being newcomers.

We passed out:
🌼 48 oz of glycerites
🌼 12 herbal spices shakers
🌼 11 hydrosols + sniffers
🌼 28 salves
🌼 35 tea bags
🌼 19 bags of vitamins, DGL's and other supplements
🌼 7 bags of Triphala and Suga' Fix
🌼 2 foot powders + 2 foot spritz

@nschimke11 also offered Reiki

The apprentices and I will be busy over the next few weeks making medicine to replenish the Apothebox.

Did you know that willow has a strong smell? I had never paid attention until we wove soap trays with it. Try it one day and let me know what you think;).

#grateful for a week of camping and running the first aid station at Rivercane Rendezvous. We passed out lots of herbal electrolytes since it was so hot and saw lots of foot injuries and ant bites. Looking forward to the next one! Also super grateful for the crew that signed up to volunteer, this was the smoothest station yet!!

Yesterday's medicine making day with plantain. We made a tea with locally foraged/grown herbs and a first aid powder to add to their first aid kits.

The tea had calendula flowers, anise hyssop, plantain and wild rose😋.

#snapshots from the Community Medicine Making class this past Sunday. We filled about 80 1/2 oz jars in 2 hours. We made our pain salve and a new recipe that we called "infection protection" (it has chaparral, Paul d'arco, goldenseal, myrrh and tea tree E.O.).

One of my favorite thing about harvesting with oth

One of my favorite thing about harvesting with others is their excitment about meeting a plant for the first time (even if they get "stung" by it). Sometimes being an herbalist means spending more time with finished products and books and not so much interacting/harvesting the fresh herbs.
I am grateful for the connections I have made over the years with different growers and herbalists so that I can include more locally harvested herbs in the #fleurandforage herbal remedies. #community

How does self-care show up in your life whether it

How does self-care show up in your life whether it is daily, weekly or monthly? As a caretaker of small and big humans in both my personal and professional life, I have to remind myself (often) to take some time to ground back into myself so that I can replenish my energy. Three ways I incorporate self-care in my life on a daily and weekly basis are: always having a hydrosol in my pouch so that I can spritz it as needed to ground, taking a nervine tincture blend twice a day and attending my weekly meditation. On a monthly basis, I aim to spend some time in the woods and with friends (nothing beats a full belly laugh-thanks to @crisdandelion , @jemappellecaitlyn , Anna and Kelsey for Saturday's).

@_unfolding_moon_botanicals (Katrina) and I are teaching a 9 month Herbal Self-Care course to help you find ways to incorporate herbal remedies in your life. The first class is on April 12th, from 6PM-8:30PM, and will focus on herbal teas and foot soak blends you can use to ground and take some time for yourself. The class will end with a foot soak while sipping on an herbal tea.

You will walk away from each session with a portion of the remedies we make so that you can use them in your daily life. There will also be medicine making worksheets and recipes so you can make them again and again.
