After a day like today full of human connection wh

After a day like today full of human connection while passing out herbal remedies, I reflect on how I became a community herbalist.

Were it not for a badly infected finger (mine) and my Stewart chiseling his thumb, I would never had met Lorna 9ish years ago. From there I started teaching at the Herbalista 's monthly Health Fair (@herbalistafreeclinic ) and we really connected over distilling plants. We then co-taught distillation classes before Anna suggested I would be a good fit to manage the apothecary + apprentices when Lorna was teaching abroad. So starting in 2018, I became an apprentice and the rest is history. I am grateful for the journey and the work I do today.

The Fleur + Fire Fundraiser is happening on March 21st, 2025. Location, time and ticket sale will all be announced later this week.

What to expect:
⚗️ multiple hydrosol distillations
⚗️ silent auction
⚗️ herbal tea bar
⚗️ herbal bites
⚗️ and more being finalized

The goal is to raise funds for the multiple chapters and locations that the Fleur +Forage Free Clinic serves.

In the next few weeks, there are two ways to join

In the next few weeks, there are two ways to join the #fleurandforagefreeclinic crew.

❄Apply by January 20th, 2025 to become an apprentice. Apprentices and myself make 95% of all the herbal preparations that we pass out every month. You need to have a foundation in herbal medicine.

❄Join our free clinic training on Feb 1st and 2nd, 2025. During the weekend we will go over all the protocols, herbal preparations on the Apothebox, do some mock cases and other games . This training is required for any herbalist that wants to volunteer with us. This training is offered on a sliding scale.
